Huutokosken Taimisto Ky is a family corporation and it  was founded in year 1952.

Nowadays our plantnursery is specialised in increasing and raising woodyplants. We produce decorbushes,-trees, berrybushes and fruittrees in a 23 hectare-area.

90% from our production goes to resaling. The significant clients are greenbuilders, buildingfirms, plantstores and public sector.

Our production includes about 350 different breeds and from each breed to different ages and sizes.

Plants endurance in Finland winterconditions and in Middle-Finlands area, depends on where the material is from. We do our best to find seeds and scions from neighbouring area. We produce plants mainly in open soil but also vaseplants for midsummers deliveries.  We raise bushplants from a scion to 4 years old plant and seedplants for longer until they fit with the quality standards. We raise only those breeds, which winter durability in this height  has been noticed good.

Raising leafytrees to 1,5-2 meters high (depending on the breed) takes 5 years or longer. The biggest trees are in the field about 10 years. Conifers grow much slowlier, so their age-size relation is different.

Almost all the products are self-raised, but we also supply perennial plants and ship roses and decor-conifers  from Middle-Europe. We have a wide network of associates in homecountry and abroad.
